Scoring: If scorekeepers can’t see your number, you will not be scored.

Entry & Eligibility

  • Riders under 18 must have a parent/legal guardian sign all race and release forms. If the parent/legal guardian is not present, the rider must have a notarized waiver release form for the event they are competing in that day, or the rider will not be allowed to race. No exceptions.
  • Minimum of 3 riders to have a class.
  • Refund will be issued if the class you entered is cancelled or you do not practice in that class.
  • Riders must compete in at least 3 of the 5 scheduled MX races to be eligible for year-end points, prizes and contingencies.
  • All riders in an age-controlled class may be asked to show a certified copy of a birth certificate. Ages are determined by the rider’s age on January 1st.

Track & Safety

  • Ambulance must be present before practice and races start.
  • Rider cannot cut the track or miss any obstacles. Rider must re-enter where they left the track unless unsafe, then enter at the nearest safe point without cutting in front of other riders. No position can be gained while off the track or while re-entering. Penalty is 1 lap for that moto if caught by an official or by written protest.
  • Obvious intentional injury or interference to another rider results in disqualification for the day.
  • Check the line-up sheet so you know where to be.
  • Contrasting number plates are required on the front and rear or sides of all bikes and quads.
  • No kickstands allowed on motorcycles. Enduro motorcycles must remove as much glass as possible and tape any glass that cannot be removed.
  • A rider may change race motorcycle/quad between motos. Scorekeepers must be notified before the next moto if the number is changed.
  • No rider may impersonate another rider. Rider is subject to disqualification for the day if impersonation is found.
  • Abuse to officials/scorers by riders or pit crew will not be tolerated. Individuals may be disqualified and/or removed from SVCC with no refund.
  • SVCC does not supply medical insurance. Riders must carry their own property, medical, and any other insurance they deem fit.
  • Points are awarded per moto, not by overall results. Season ties are determined by overall best finishes.

Starting Gate Rules

  • No riders or pit crew in front of the gate at any time.
  • Two-minute “sweet time” after the last bike enters the gate.
  • Two-minute repair after track crew is notified of a problem (except for sweeping).
  • Failure to follow these rules disqualifies the rider for that moto.

Quad Requirements

  • All quads must have a working tether switch and nerf bars.
  • Headlight must be taped or removed.

Parents / Pit Crew on Track

  • Parents or pit crew may not enter the track area during a race without a race official with them or the rider will be disqualified.
  • Exception: peewee points and non-point parents. These parents will be contained to a specified area and must walk to/from the designated area.
  • Any parent operating a motorized vehicle on the track results in immediate disqualification of their rider.
  • One parent/guardian per rider allowed out on the track for peewee riders.

Class Advancement

  • A vet rider that wins a B class cannot be forced to move to the A class.
  • Top 2 riders from each of Lites C, Lites B, MX C, MX B and Quad B must move up to the next higher class for the next season.
  • Riders under 16 cannot be forced to move up to Pro-Am.
  • Rider must appeal to the MX Committee Chairman before the first race. No class jumping allowed. All riders are expected to race their published class level.

Flag Rules

  • Red Flag: full stop of moto. Return to the gate using first gear. If half of scheduled laps are completed, it is scored as a full moto. If less than half are completed, a red flag restart results.
  • Red Flag Restart: all bikes return to starting gate. Bikes line up single file based on last scored lap. If less than one full lap has been run, this is a full restart and riders must maintain original gate position.
  • Yellow Flag: approach with caution, no jumping (roll the jump), no passing in the area of a yellow flag.
  • White Flag with Red Cross: slow down, remain seated, no jumping or passing, and no roost in the immediate area of the incident.
  • Riders not abiding by flag rules will be docked 1 lap for that moto per incident. Ignoring a medical flag results in disqualification for that moto.

Event Restrictions

  • No pit riding of any kind during MX event.
  • No riding on short track during MX event.
  • Rider must be scored 1 lap in a moto to earn points.
